Q: Who should go to this conference?
A: You! Leaders of all Christian education ilks should come.
Q: I'm not sure I have an ilk. Will I be welcome?
A: Absolutely! School principals, early childhood directors, District education execs, CUS presidents and education department heads, synodical leaders, and, and, well...ilks of all education varieties will find relevance and growth here.
Q: Where in our nation's capital will the conference be headquartered?
A: No. That's fake news--but it did get your attention. LEA has contracted with the Sheraton Pentagon City in Arlington, Va.
Q: Sounds expensive...
A: Not really, Rooms will go for $94 per night plus 13.25% taxes (at time of this answer).
Q: Now that sounds like fake news. Does the hotel have indoor plumbing, windows, doors ...?
A: Not fake news! Not fake hotel either. Take a look.
Q: Will we have complementary internet?
A: Only if you behave yourself.
Q: I said complimentary.
A: In that case, yes.
Q: Will I get $15 parking at the hotel?
A: Yes. Two for $30, and so on...
Q: What if I fly to the conference?
R: Use an airplane. Regan flights are most convenient. The hotel provides shuttle service.
Q: Is there a good reason for having the conference in Washington, D.C.
A: Yes... several even excellent ones, one of which is programming and leadership from Washington-based Lutheran Center for Religious Liberty.
Q: Will we get to see the President and other government leaders?
A: Likely not, unless you get a glimpse of them as the Secret Service drags you away. But don't fret... seeing our own leaders like Jon Laabs, Greg Seltz, and Sally Hiller trumps the excitement of seeing any Washington polictal leaders.
